Artist Statement

The digital portrait depicts my family dogs ( left: Coco Penelope', right: Soldier) sitting on their couch-throne, surrounded by toys and food which their family provided to them.  This tells that we tend to see and treat them as "human" individuals.

The installation is a mirror in which dogs look at their reflection and observe the blue and yellow flowers, and toys are presented to them as if they are outside encountering another dog, because dogs may mistake their reflection as an unknown creature and show aggression or ignore it altogether.
